Canals and rivers

The government has taken steps to retain water by digging canals for rural development

The current government is an agriculture-friendly government. And for that reason, the government is working for the development of agriculture in rural Bengal. As a result of global climate change, the groundwater level is decreasing day by day. In this situation, the government is making arrangements to dig canals, rivers and canals to maintain the water level as a source of water to ensure irrigation facilities for the development of agriculture. As a result of this, on the one hand, the farmers are benefiting, on the other hand, many of the rural towns are becoming economically self-sufficient by farming fish in this river.

Canals are used for water drainage. The canals join the river.
